The Purpose of the Jewish Pavilion

Our Mission:

To enhance the quality of life of our elders in long term care by strengthening their connection to the community.

Our Purpose:

The Jewish Pavilion enhances the lives of residents in independent, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities throughout Central Florida by providing regular visitation, Shabbat and holiday meals, pastoral visits, musical programs, pet and clown visits and educational courses. Our staff and volunteers visit seniors in forty-four independent, assisted living and long-term care facilities. Our respite program gives caregivers a break on Fridays by allowing their loved ones to meet at the Jewish Community Center for day long activities including a Shabbat meal and services.

With your help, we can expand our programs and reach out to more people in need!

Please visit our newsletter archives to see your social investment at work as we enhance the lives of our seniors, together!

Jewish Pavilion Featured in the Orlando Sentinel

Check out the front page profile on the work of the Jewish Pavilion by Orlando Sentinel’s Jeff Kunerth.

At 100 years old, Mansburg misses many things from her life within the Jewish community of New Orleans — her friends and family, the temples, the charities and organizations she once belonged to. But on Fridays, she misses them a little less with a visit from Hrabovsky and a taste of the fresh challah she brings.

“It’s something to look forward to,” she said. “It’s something Jewish I wouldn’t be getting otherwise.”
